RESOLUTION NO. 15 -XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR AND ACCEPTANCE OF YEAR
2014 EMERGENCY MANAGMENT PERFORMANCE GRANT (EMPG)
REIMBURSEMENT ALLOCATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, State of California, Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CAL
OES) has made funds available through the Emergency Management Performance Grant
Program for the support of comprehensive emergency management and the
improvement of preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery capabilities for all
hazards; and
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa wishes to participate in the Emergency
Management Performance Grant for the year 2014; and
WHEREAS, for the COUNTY OF ORANGE, a political subdivision of the State of
California, herein referred to as "COUNTY" and CITY OF COSTA MESA, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter referred to as "SUBGRANTEE", the COUNTY shall transfer to
SUBGRANTEE grant funds, in arrears, as necessary to reimburse SUBGRANTEE for
reasonable and permissible expenditures for the grant purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa has been awarded an amount not to exceed
$17,800.00 in Emergency Management Performance Grant Program funds for the year
2014; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council hereby approves
the application for and acceptance of funds under the Emergency Management

Performance Grant Program and the Chief Executive Officer or his designee is hereby
authorized to implement this resolution.
