RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council:
Appoint the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce and the Newport Mesa Unified School
District to the Bikeway and Walkability Committee. Each of these entities shall select one
representative to the committee.
BACKGROUND:
At the June 2, 2015 City Council meeting, the City Council approved expanding the
Committee to 17 members to include representation from the Chamber of Commerce
and the Newport Mesa Unified School District. Public noticing of these vacancies (2
appointments) have been completed in compliance with Government Code Section
54974(a) (The Maddy Act).
The individual representatives to the Committee shall be selected by the Chamber of
Commerce and the Newport Mesa Unified School District.
