Subject: Concerned resident - 2544 Carnegie Ave - rezoning impact
Hello,
Being a resident of Costa Mesa for over 30 years and enjoying the general plan for our area as Neighborhood Commercial; the news of
a rezoning initiative is being considered for 440 Fair Drive.
Personally, the negative impact for our household would far exceed the positive -Just as a minimum, here are a few:
• Traffic increase - danger to the children/pets, etc.
• Water use increase - we are in a drought
• Power use - our area is already included on a wide area grid, which has seen increased power outages
Neighborhood -wide:
Obviously - same impact as our household but also
1. Privacy issues with a 2-3 story structures
2. Access to -from the new structure on Carnegie creates congestion
3. Breezeslairflow will be eliminated to the houses
4. Removing the restaurant, other local business conveniences
5. Destroying the beautiful trees which also act a heat shade & contribute to our clean air
I am writing to ask the Costa Mesa City Council to consider an alternative plan or to abandon this rezoning action. Please accept this
notice for review & consideration.
Thankyou.
Respectfully,
Beverl Jean Schwenk Jeanie)

Subject: Comments oposing High Density Residential Project
Hello
I am writing this in behalf of a good friend who has been a Costa Mesa resident for over 40 years
and unable to attend to the City Council meeting on September 1st. 2015.
he is very concerned about the change our neighborhood will have with the High Density Residential
project that is proposed at 440 Fair Drive, he oposes that project because him along many of the
neighbors will be directly affected if that project goes through, his house is located on Elmhust LN.
with the increase of traffic on Carnegie and the amount of people living in such a small area, along
with the increase of traffic he is also concerned the value of his property going down, and he has a
question for all the people interested in this project going through, where are you going to get the
water? do we have to stop watering the lawn so the new residents have enough water?
Thank You.
Roger Hager/ Bobby D. Hill
A Concerned Costa Mesa Resident.
