Overview
This document contains the statement of work for the placement of an IT Specialist at the City of
Costa Mesa.
Scope
1. Requirements
The City of Costa Mesa has requested an IT Specialist to assist in the following areas:
• Work with help desk staff to provide technical client support for desktop issues.
• Work with City Computer Operations Supervisor to perform system
administrative tasks as requested.
• Direct completion of tasks within estimated time frames.
• Coordinate with the City Computer Operations Supervisor to ensure problem
resolution.
• Perform the following tasks as directed which will include but not limited to:
o Take Help Desk support calls
o Help with Windows 7 deployment both on desktop PC's and MDC's
o Help with imaging computer equipment for deployment
o Install software as needed and directed

o Troubleshoot common PC, printer and network issues
o Add, Delete, or Move users, mailboxes and PC accounts in Active
Directory
o Be familiar with Windows Server 2003/2008 and Exchange 2010
o Be familiar with Office 2003/2010/2013
o Be familiar with Sonic Wall and HP switches
2. Proposal
Scientia Consulting Group is proposing to place Logan Haynes in the IT Specialist position at
the City of Costa Mesa. Logan Haynes has over 6 years experience working with city
governments and public safety. Some of his experience/qualifications are as follows:
• Installation and upkeep of client workstations and servers
• Software application updates and implementation
• Manage various SAN technologies
• Manage Phone systems (Cisco, Toshiba)
• Manage Camera and access control systems
• VMware products and solutions
• Exchange 2003/2007/2010 Messaging Systems
• Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 Active Directory Environments
• Group Policy Administration
• Desktop/Server life cycle migrations
• Cisco and Sonicwall firewalls
• HP and Cisco network switches
• Netmotion
• Microsoft Deployment Services and Workbench Toolkit
• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
• VMWare ESXi and Control Center
• MDT/MDC rollouts and maintenance
Scientia Consulting Group will place Logan Haynes at Costa Mesa for 40 hours per week for the
2015-16 budget year. The hourly rate will be $86.
In addition to Logan Haynes, Scientia Consulting Group can provide additional resources to
assist with specific projects upon request at the same hourly rate. Scientia can also deploy, at
the City's request, our monitoring/ticketing system to help IT improve efficiency and user
response time. A brochure is attached outlining the abilities of the software.
