Costa Mesa Mayor & City Council,
For almost 75 years, we have proudly served the youth of Costa Mesa and it is with enthusiasm that we
report that in recent months we have made some strategic investments that will increase our impact in
the city of Costa Mesa exponentially. We are excited to announce that as we approach our 75th
Anniversary, we are preparing to make our largest and most significant investment in our history. Over
the next several months and in the coming year, we will introduce new 21St Century programs,
strengthen our impact, & launch an initiative to build one of the most advanced Boys & Girls Clubs in the
United States.
For decades the City of Costa Mesa has enabled us to serve youth, especially those who need us most,
and we are grateful for this partnership. Our collective impact has been profound & significant for those
who have walked through the doors of the Boys & Girls Club. Whether it was participating in our
renowned basketball league or in one of our several enrichment programs, the Boys & Girls Club has
always been there for Costa Mesa youth and families. We thank you for your support, advocacy, &
partnership. Together, we are providing mentors and programs that will impact a child's life and show
them we believe in their potential.
Please review the attached Costa Mesa Impact Report to see our current snapshot and, most
importantly, a summary of our plans for the future. I look forward to personally building and
strengthening relationships with you and working with you to serve the City of Costa Mesa.
We believe in the guiding principle that every child, no matter their background, deserves access to
world-class mentoring. The relationships that are developed at our Clubs are critical and have the
potential to have a significant impact on the lives of those we serve. We exist because we believe every
child has the potential to do great things and it is our responsibility to help them unlock that potential.
Our Staff and Board are excited to continue working together to serve the City of Costa Mesa and we are
committed to strengthening our collective impact.
All the best,
Robert Santana, MBA
