SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF MAYOR'S APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARDS OF THE
TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR AGENCY AND THE ORANGE COUNTY
VECTOR CONTROL DISTRICT

RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the Mayor's appointments to the Boards of the:
1. Transportation Corridor Agency (TCA); and
2. Orange County Vector Control District (OCVCD)
BACKGROUND:
The City Council is represented on a number of committees, boards and agencies throughout
the County. In most cases, the Mayor has the authority to appoint the Council representative.
However, the by-laws of the Boards cited above require formal Council approval of the Mayor's
appointments.
ANALYSIS:
The Mayor has put forth the following Council appointments to the respective boards:

No fiscal review is necessary for this item.
ALTERNATE
Council Member Mansoor
No Alternate Required
LEGAL REVIEW:

ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED:
Do not approve appointments.
CONCLUSION:
Staff is recommending that the City Council formally approve the previously described two-year
appointments by the Mayor.
