However, there is potential for the medians to block the view of Fairview Park while driving by. In some ways that could be good thing if it can block the urban world that surrounds Fairview Park as viewed from inside the park. Alternatively it might better to frame Fairview Park as viewed from Placentia that would honor one of the seven great wonders of Costa Mesa while people drive by. The best situation would be to have any new medians look good from inside the park as well as from traveling on Placentia. As far as the plant palette goes, I hope a biologist has a say. It might be a good idea to have Southern California natives but probably not any that would endanger animals that might feed on them. A native clump grass for the entire median with a few native trees here and there might be nice if it has to be built. As far as rocks go, if any have to be used I hope they would be smooth natural river rocks or boulders that look like they might have come from the Santa Ana River. Sincerely, Brian Burnett
