HomeMy WebLinkAbout212 - E. 17th St. Setbacks Between Newport Blvd. and Irviney ORDINANCE NO. -al ,2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 32, BEING ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ESTABLISHING LAND CLASSIFICATIONS IN DISTRICTS WITHIN THE INCORPORATED TERRITORY OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA AND REGULATING THE USES OF PROPERTY HEREIN, ADOPTING A MAP OF SAID DISTRICTS, DEFINING THE TERMS USED IN THIS ORDINANCE, PROVIDING FOR THE ADJUSTT11ENT, ENFORCEMENT AND AMENDMENT HEREOF, PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION HEREOF, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT AND IN CONFLICT HEREWI Ti" The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: Section 10.3 of Article X of Ordinance No. 32 is hereby amended by adding thereto a new sub -section as follows: "Z 6. Notwithstanding any other provisions in this Ordinance, the setback for any structure on the following.described properties shall be as follows: For the properties situated on East 17th Street between Newport Boulevard and Irvine Avenue, fifty feet (501) from the centerline of said East 17th Street, except that portion lying Southwesterly of said East 17th Street between Orange Avenue and a line 150 feet Northwesterly of and parallel to the centerline of Santa .Ana Avenue, which setback shall be 180 feet from the centerline of said East 17th Street." SECTION II. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full farce thirty (30) days from and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be published once in the COSTA MESA GLOBE -HERALD and PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
