AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, IN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS "HUNTZINGER ANNEXATION".
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa doeshhereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1
That the annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of
California, of that certain uninhabited territory, contiguous to said City, is
hereby approved and the said territory is hereby ordained to be annexed to and
made a part of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California; that
said territory, known and designated as "HUNTZINGER ANNEXATION", is particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the boundary of the City of Costa Mesa,
said point being the intersection of the West line of Harbor
Boulevard with the South line of Huntzinger Avenue, 40.00 feet
wide; thence easterly along said South line and the easterly
prolongation of the South line of said Huntzinger Avenue to the
East line of Fairview Road; thence northerly along the East
line of said Fairview Road to the South line of Wakeham Avenue;
thence easterly along the South line of said Wakeham Avenue to
the West line of Bear Street; thence southerly along the West
line of Bear Street to its intersection with a line parallel to
and 19.8+ chains northerly, measured at right angles, from the
centerline of that certain 60.00 foot wide street described in
Minute Order of Acceptance and recorded in Book 536, page 17
of Deeds, Records of Orange County, California; thence westerly
along said parallel line to the West line of Smalley Road as
shown on a Record of Survey map filed in Book 17, page 32,
Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of
Orange County, California, s&id West line being 25.00 feet
westerly, measurdd at right angles, from the centerline of
Smalley Road; thence southerly along said West line to the
South line of that certain 60.00 foot wide street described
in Minute Order of Acceptance and recorded in Book 536, page 17,
of Deeds, Records of Orange County; thence easterly along said
South line to the West line of Lot 2, Block "C" of the Berry
Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 9, page 6 of
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence
southerly along the West line of said Lot 2, the southerly pro-
longation thereof, and the westerly line of Lot 2 and Lot 9,
Block "B" of said Berry Tract to the northerly line of Baker
Street, 80.00 feet wide, said northerly line being the exist-
ing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa; thence along the bound-
ary of the City of Costa Mesa through the following courses:
westerly along the northerly line of Baker Street to the East
line of Babb Street, northerly along the said East line of Babb
Street to the centerline of Paularino Avenue, westerly along the
said centerline of Paularino Avenu*nd the northerly line of the
private road 33.00 feet in width lying northerly of and adjacent
to Block "A" of said Berry Tract to the East line of Fairview
Road, northerly along said East line of Fairview Road to the
easterly prolongation of the North line of Gisler Avenue, west-
erly along the easterly prolongation of the North line of Gisler
Avenue, westerly along the North line of Gisler Avenue to the

West line of Harbor Boulevard, and norherly along the West line
of Harbor Boulevard to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2
That the boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, Stator of
California, be, and the same is hereby, altered to include the above described terr-
itory into the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California.
SECTION 3
That the proceedings for annexation herein ordained are had and taken under
and pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California
designated and referred to as the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939".
SECTION 4
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from
and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its pass-
age shall be published once in the GLOBE -HERALD and PILOT, a newspaper of general cir-
culation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names
of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.

described territory into the City of

of an Act of the Legislature of the
State of California designated and re-
ferred to as the "Annexation of Un-
inhabited Territory Act of 1939".
SECTION 4
This Ordinance shall take effect and
be in full force thirty (30) days from
and after its passage, and prior to the
expiration of fifteen (15) days from
its passage shall be published once in
the GLOBE -HERALD and PILOT, a
newspaper of general circulation, print-
ed and published in the City of Costa
Mesa, together with the names of the
members of the City Council voting
for and against the same.
