Home My WebLink About364 - Prohibits Parking on Certain Portions of Harbor Blvd,4a� /� A.4,7", ORDINANCE NO. 364 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA AMENDING SECTION 3449 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA TO PROHIBIT PARKING ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF HARBOR BOULEVARD. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 3449 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa, entitled: "Parking Prohibited at all Times on Certain Streets," is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the following: "All parking on both sides of Harbor Boulevard from the curb returns at the north side of West Nineteenth Street to 245 feet north of the centerline of West Nineteenth Street. "All parking on the east side of Harbor Boulevard from the curb return at the south side of Hamilton Street to 178 feet south of the centerline of Hamilton Street. "All parking on the west side of Harbor Boulevard from the curb return at the south side of Hamilton Street to 170 feet south of the centerline of Hamilton Street. "All parking on both sides of Harbor Boulevard from the curb returns at the north side of Hamilton Street to 210 feet north of the centerline of Hamilton Street. "All parking on both sides of Harbor Boulevard from the curb returns at the south side of Victoria Street to 150 feet south of the centerline of Victoria Street. "All parking bn both sides of Harbor Boulevard from the curb returns at the north side of Victoria Street to a point 174 feet north of the centerline of Victoria Street. SECTION 2. This Ordinance is declared to be an urgency ordinance, necessary for the immediate preservation of public safety, pursuant to the provisions of Section 36937 of the Government Code of the State of California. The facts constituting such urgency are as follows: The increase in vehicular traffic on Harbor Boulevard and left hand turning from Harbor Boulevard at the locations hereinabove named has created traffic problems requiring immediate control. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this J �4 day of 1961.
