Home My WebLink About381 - Rezone No. 137, Scott Pl & Center St, and between Placentia Ave & Wallace AveORDINANCE NO. 381 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA CHANGING THE ZONING OF A CERTAIN AREA LYING BETWEEN SCOTT PLACE AND CENTER STREET, AND BETWEEN PLACENTIA AVENUE AND WALLACE AVENUE FROM R2 TO R4. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. All that portion of the following described real property is hereby placed and included in the R4 zone, to wit: PARCEL A: That portion of Lot 703, and a portion of streets adjacent in Newport Mesa Tract as shown on a map recorded in Book 5, page 1, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, described as follows: Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 703 and running thence northerly along the easterly line of said lot 330 feet to the northeasterly corner of said lot; thence westerly along the northerly line of said lot and the easterly extension thereof 660 feet to the centerline of Placentia Avenue; thence southerly along said centerline 30 feet; thence easterly parallel with the northerly line of said lot and the westerly extension thereof 330 feet; thence southerly parallel with the easterly line of said lot 300 feet to the southerly line of said lot; thence easterly along said southerly line 330 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFROM the easterly 165.07 feet. PARCEL B: The southerly 300 feet of the westerly 300 feet of said Lot 703, EXCEPTING THEREFROM the southerly 205 feet of the westerly 234 feet of said lot. SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 9230.4 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa, the Zoning Map of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the R4 area described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof shall be published once in the GLOBE -HERALD and PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
