Home My WebLink About393 - Prohibit Parking on Portions of Fairview Rd, Stops on certain Intersections on Elden AveORDINANCE NO. 393 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA TO PROHIBIT PARKING ON A PORTION OF FAIRVIEW ROAD AND ESTABLISH CERTAIN STOP INTERSECTIONS ON ELDEN AVENUE. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 3449 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the following area where parking is prohibited at all times: "On both sides of Fairview Road between the south line of the Orange Coast College property and the north line of the Fairview Road Fire Station site. ll��rurrd Q.t��jf� SECTION 2. Section 3464 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby amended by the deletion therefrom of the following intersections where stops are required: "At the intersection of Monte Vista east and westbound at Elden Avenue. At the intersection of Santa Isabel east and westbound at Elden Avenue." and the addition thereto of the following intersections where stops shall be required: "At the intersection of Elden Avenue north and southbound at Del Mar Avenue. At the intersection of Elden Avenue north and southbound at Monte Vista Avenue. At the intersection of Elden Avenue north and southbound at Santa Isabel Avenue." SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately after the date of its adoption. The facts constituting the urgency are as follows: The football season is about to open at Orange Coast College and the Costa Mesa High School, and the City has no regulations to protect the public against the hazards of unregulated parking in the college and high school area. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately, and within fifteen (17) days from its passage shall be published in the DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
