AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
AMENDING SECTION 3457 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA TO REGULATE THE USE OF TRUCK ROUTES BY TRUCKS
ORIGINATING WITHIN THE CITY.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3457 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 3457 Use of Truck Routes Required.
It shall be unlawful for any operator of a motor truck entering the City of
Costa Mesa with a destination outside the City of Costa Mesa to operate said
motor truck over any route other than those hereinabove set forth in Sections
3452 to 3456 inclusive. Trucks originating within the city delivering to
certain points within the city shall go from their point of origin to the
nearest truck route and shall proceed from there to point of delivery, and
upon completing the delivery shall immediately go from that point to the
nearest truck route and proceed to their next location from that point."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective and in full force thirty (30)
days from and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from
the passage thereof shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with
the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of November, 1961.
