HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-38 - Master Property Tax Transfer Agreement - Annexation of 1995-1996RESOLUTION NO. ? - 30 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE APPLICATION OF THE MASTER PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER AGREEMENT FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 1995-1996 ASSESSOR PARCEL NO. 426-171-05. WHEREAS, an annexation is proposed for 1995-1996 Assessor Parcel No. 426-171-05 located at 2157 and 2159 Tustin Avenue; and WHEREAS, Section 99(b) of the Revenue Taxation Code requires jurisdictions involved in any jurisdictional change to agree to a property tax redistribution prior to the change becoming complete; and WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa and the County of Orange have agreed to a Master Property Tax Transfer Agreement dated October 28, 1980, establishing formula for said redistribution; and WHEREAS, 1995-1996 Assessor Parcel No. 426-171-05 does meet the criteria for an "undeveloped" annexation as described in the Master Property Tax Transfer Agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby agree to a redistribution of the property tax for 1995-1996 Assessor Parcel No. 426-171-05 pursuant to the "undeveloped" provisions of the Master Property Tax Transfer Agreement.
