A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE SUBMITTAL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER
THE COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING
PROGRAM.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa desires to implement the transportation
improvements listed on Exhibit A, attached; and
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M "turnback"
funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of Orange
Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa will provide matching funds for each project as
required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures Manual;
and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate funds for
transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa hereby requests that the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds in the
amounts specified in the City's application to said City from the Combined Transportation
Funding Programs. Said funds shall be matched by funds from said City as required and shall
be used to aid the City in the improvement of the streets listed on Exhibit A, attached and made
a part hereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of April, 1996.
