A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING
PARKING ON A PORTION OF COLLEGE DRIVE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa City Council has determined that parking is a
limited resource of specific streets in Costa Mesa; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has recommended that resident -only parking be
established on College Drive from Nassau Road to Fair Drive; and
WHEREAS, Section 10-221 of the Costa Mesa Municipal Code provides for the
designation of resident -only parking areas by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Sections 10-69(b) and 10-82 of the Costa Mesa Municipal Code set
forth provisions for enforcement and obedience to Code regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that
a parking prohibition be authorized on a portion of College Drive;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa that parking be, and the same is hereby prohibited on College Drive from Nassau
Road to Fair Drive at all times to vehicles without a resident permit.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Sections 10-69(b) and 10-82 of
the Costa Mesa Municipal Code, signs shall be posted to give warnings that vehicles
parked in violation of this Code shall be cited.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of August, 1997.
