A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE FIRE CHIEF OR HIS DESIGNEE, SHOWING THE COST OF REMOVING RUBBISH AND WEEDS AND REFUSE OR DIRT ON OR IN FRONT OF EACH SEPARATE PARCEL OF LAND IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Fire Chief or his designee of the City of Costa Mesa did render an itemized, written report to the City Council for confirmation, showing the cost of removing weeds, rubbish, refuse, or dirt on or in front of each separate lot or parcel of land in said City; and WHEREAS, said Fire Chief or his designee did, prior to submitting said report to said City Council, post a copy of said report for at least three days on the bulletin board at the City Hall with a notice of the time when the report would be submitted to the City Council for confirmation; and WHEREAS, the time fixed for receiving and consider the report by the City Council was set for August 4, 1997, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable; and WHEREAS, the City Council did, on the 4th day of August, 1997, at 6:30 p.m., or shortly thereafter, at its regular Council meeting, receive said report; and WHEREAS, objections, if any, were received from the property owners liable to be assessed for the work of assessment, and said objections being overruled, or, if found justified, the report having been modified; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby approve and confirm said report of the Fire Chief or his designee of the City of Costa Mesa as rendered, and does declare that the amounts of the cost for abatement of the nuisance on or in front of the various parcels of land mentioned in the report as confirmed shall constitute special assessments against the respective parcels of land and are a lien on the property for the amount of the respective assessments.
