HomeMy WebLinkAbout81 - License Exemption - Non-ProfitORDINANCE N0. $1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA KESA AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 25, BEING ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA .SSA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR LICENSING AND REGULATING THE CARRYING ON OF VARIOUS PROFESSIONS, TRADES, CALLINGS, BUSINESSES AND OCCUPATIONS AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF". The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 1 of Article VIII of Ordinance No. 25 is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 1. PEIATT FR&',1 CITY COUNCIL REQUIRED. No license shall be issued for the conducting; of aav of the businesses hereinafter enumerated until a perrvt shall hava be=en first obtained from the City Council granting to the applicant the right to so conduct said business, except that whenever a recognized non-profit organization requests a permit to engage in arq activity in the City, the City Fiscal Officer shall have the right to grant said permit and to waive the fee. The City Fiscal Officer shall make a monthly report to the City Council of the non-profit organiza- tions to whom free permits have been issued. SECTION 2. EN:ICTKENT CLAUSE. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days frorn and after its passage; and prior to the expiration of fifte-an (15) days fran the passage thereof, this Ordinance, together with the names of thle we.abers of the City Council voting for and against the same, steal? be published once in the Costa Xesa Globe Herald, a newspaper printed in tha City of Costa Nesa.
