AN ORDINANCE AK=NG SECTION 200 OF ARTICLE I11, SECTION 302 OF ARTICLE III
AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 305-A TO ARTICLE I IOF ORDINANCE N0. 65 BEING ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA REQUIRING PERMITS AND PROVIDING
REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF TRAILER
PARKS, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE V10LATION TIIF.tiEOF".
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does ordain as follows:
Section 1.
Section 200 of Article Il is amended by eliminating therefrom the
words "California Highway Patroi" and inserting in its place the words
"Police Department".

"SECTION 302. F 3FF S. OPMATION PER -aTS. Each application for'a
permit required by Section 3,01 of this Ordinance shall be accompanied by a
fee of Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00), provided that applications for permit
to operate trailer parks existing and lawfully operating on the effective date
of this Ordinance shall be filed, with the fee herein required, within thirty
(30) days from and after the effective date of this Ordinance.
Each application for a constniction permit shall be accompanied
by the construction fees as required by argy other ordinance."
Section 3.
A new section to be known as Section 305-A, Article III,is hereby

added as follows:
"SECTION 305-A. All trailer parks wheresoever located, as of the
effective date of this Ordinance, shall be allound to construct cabanas thereon
in accordance with the provisions set Forth herein and without the necessity
of obtaining a variance therefor.
Section 4.
This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency measure for the
immediate preservation of the public poaca, health and safety. The following is
a statement of facts constituting the ur-ency code: That the City Council,
in passing Ordinance No. 65, didd not intend to irr-lu:.de a fee for construction
permits; that the imposition of such f��o uouald result in a hardship to trailer
park owners desiring to do construction :,-orc on or in a trailer park; that in
order to eliminate such hardship it is necessary that this Ordinance be passed
as an urgency measure.

Section 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately and within fifteen
(15) days thereafter, this Ordinance, together with the names of the members
of the City Council voting for and against the same, shall be published once
in the Costa Mesa Globe Herald, a newspaper printed in the City of Costa Mesa,
Passed and Adopted this 5th day of July, 1955.
