The City Council of the City of Costa Pesa does ordain as
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Article III of Ordinance No. 60 is
hereby amended to read as _follows:
"SECTION 1. E.YCAV TIONS, FILLS, OBSTRUCTIONS, UPON OR INJURY
TO STREETS, ','ITHOL . P ��IT PROEM ED. No pe. -son shall !sake arty excavation,
tunnel or 'Dore it or under the surface of any street, construct, erect,
pl*.ce, or repair ar7 facility or equipment; in, npor., along, across,
under or over PxW street, or remove arVr facility or attached equipment
from arZr street; repair, construct, reconstruct,, erect or make any street
betterment in, upon, along, across, under or over arty street or remove
any street betterment from any street when such work is done or performed
by or at the instance and request of tiie owner of the real property abutting
said street titre such street betterment is to be repaired, constructed,
reconstructed, erected or made, or removed; destroy or remove any street
improvement in, upon, along, across, under or over any street; construct,
leave, place, or ma�ntain ar.r obstruction in, upon, along, across or
o:rer arty street; drive or operate a vehicle over a.r*y curb or sidewalk
located upon any street at a point other than where a driveway has been
constructed or otherwise unproved unless he shall have first obtained
a permit hereunder as hereinafter provided; provided, however, that no
permit shall be required for or in connection with the installation of
poles, guy^, anchors or agpurLen�ncas used or constructed and used under
a franchise for public utility purposes where such poles, guys, anchors and
appurtenances are located outside of the paved or travelled portion of the
street; and provided further that the location of all poles shall be first
approved by the City of CostR Mesa.

effect and be in force thirty (30) days frog► and after its passage
and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days fro,a its passage

The CRY Council of the City of
Costa Mesa does ordain as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Article'

amended to read as follows:
