AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA, IN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, KNOWN AS "BAKER STREET #3
ANNEXATION.. tf
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as
SECTION I.
That the annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State
of California, of that certain uninhabited territory, contiguous to said City is
hereby approved and the said territory is hereby ordained to be annexed to and
made a part of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California;
that said territory is particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing City boundary of
the City of Costa Mesa, said point being the inter-
section of the Westerly line of College Street with
the Southerly line of Baker Street; thence Southerly
along said Westerly line of College Street to the
Centerline of Spruce Avenue, as shown on a map of
Fountain Addition to Fairview, recorded in Book 29,
page 13 of Miscellaneous Records, Los Angeles
County, California; thence Easterly along the center-
line of Spruce Avenue to the Centerline of College
Street, said point being an angle point in the exist-
ing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa; thence East-
erly, Southerly, Easterly, Northerly and Westerly
along said existing City boundary to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2.
That the boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State
of California, be, and the same is hereby, altered to include the above-
described territory into the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of
1, California.
SECTION 3.
That the proceedings for annexation herein ordained are had and taken
under and pursuant to the provisions of an act of the Legislature of the State
of California designated and referred. to as the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939".
SECTION u.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from
and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its
passage shall be published once in the Costa Mesa Globe -Herald, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together

with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against,
the same.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this lith day of February, 1957.
