FOR LICENSING AND REGULATING THE CARRYING ON OF VARIOUS
PROFESSIONS, TRADrS, CALLINGS, BUSINESSES AND OCCUPATIONS AND
PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.

The City Council of thA City of Costa Mesa does ordain as
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Article I of Ordinance No. 25 is
hereby amended to read as follows: -
"ARTICLE I. LICENSES.
SDCTION 1. LICENSE REQUIRED. For the purpose of raising
revenue for the City of Costa Mesa, every person, firm, association or
corporation conducting, carrying on or engaging in any business in this
Ordinance specified, in the City of Costa Mesa, shall pay a fee to the
City of. Costa Mesa as hereinafter set forth.
ShCTION 2. Section 9 of Article II is hereby repealed."
SECTION 3. ENACTMENT. This Ordinance shall take effect and
be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its passage, and prior
to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be published
once in the Costa Mesa Globe Herald, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names
of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
