RECOMMENDATION:
Approve 2017 Annual Report of the 2015-2035 adopted Costa Mesa General Plan.
DESCRIPTION:
State Government Code Section 65400 requires that an annual report be made to the
legislative body on the status of the General Plan and progress in its implementation,
including activity towards its share of regional housing needs.
Pursuant to State law, the 2017 Annual Review of the Costa Mesa General Plan reports
to the City Council the progress in implementing the 2015-2035 General Plan. The 2017
Annual Report is attached under separate cover. The Planning Commission received
and recommended approval of the report at a regularly scheduled meeting on March 26,
2018.
