Once clean-up is complete, water station trucks will return to OC Fair and Event Center. Poge 10)3 18 WASTE MANAGE NEW START LINE Ware Disposal will provide waste management and recycling for the start line area. 1. (4) 3-yard dumpsters located in the Marriott back parking lot 2. 25 cardboard trash boxes will be set up at the start line 3. 25 cardboard recycle only boxes will be set up at the start line 4. Salvation Army or similar organization will pickup discarded clothing. ON THE COURSE 1. All water stations from Miles 1-12 will have o (30) cardboard trash receptacles. o (1)3-yard dumpster • Dumpsters to be delivered on Friday, May 1 removed on Monday, May 4. 2. All water stations from Miles 13-26 will have o (10) cardboard trash receptacles. Trash will be removed by the volunteers, and brought to the OC Fair & Event Center. 3. Sunset Property Services will provide street sweeping throughout the full & half marathon routes. FINISH LINE OC Fair & Event Center will provide all trash dumpsters + recycling dumpsters. Page 1 ofl 19 t �Aatti K o In Course Tlme LIMUS MARATHON - 7 HOURS I HALF MARATHON - 3.5 HOURS The on course time limit is 7 hours for the Full Marathon. Please note that the course will have a rolling re- opening that will be strictly enforced by the Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana and Irvine Police Departments. Roads must reopen based on a 16 minute per mile pace.* * • Full marathon participants that do not reach the marathon/half marathon split (Mile 12) by 9:00 am (3.5) will be diverted to turn left at Mesa Drive and finish the half marathon course. • Full marathon and half marathon participants - The bridge to Balboa Island (Jamboree Road/Marine Avenue at Bayside Drive) has a strict opening time of 7:45 a.m. o Any participants arriving after 7:45 a.m. will be required to utilize the pedestrian signal and crosswalk, regardless of your starttime and pace. This only affects those that get a late start and are pushingthe 16 minute minimum pace SAG VEHICLES Any participants arriving at any intersection after the 16 minute pace are encouraged to utilize the SAG vehicles that are provided for your safety. • If at any time a participant chooses not to utilize the SAG vehicle, the participant is no longer a part of the course. • Participants that choose to stay on the course are asked to follow police, city and race official direction, and use the pedestrian pathways and observe all pedestrian laws. • **Roads will be opening based on 16 minutes pace. After reopening, course directional signage, mile markers, police services, portable restrooms, water stations may be removed from the course. Page 1 of 1 21 I MEDICAL PLAN PARKING & SHUTTLE THE ara on Parking Plan Start Line The majority of participants park at the OC Fair & Event Center and get shuttled to the start line. Newport Mesa USD provides bus services, beginning at 3:45 am —5:30 am, dropping runners on Newport Center Drive @ Santa Barbara. Limited parking at the start line is indicated with the blue highlighted lots on the enclosed map Finish Line OC Fair & Event Center provides the majority of participant parking, as well as CM5 signage surrounding the venue to indicate which lots to enter. Participant must be wearing bib # to enter the starting corral 2. NO Coaches or Adults will start with Kids. SOME adults will be able to run, but will act more as a sweeper, be positioned on the course, and/or in the finish line chutes, matching kids to parents. 3. Parents/approved guardians must have a claim ticket to collect child in the finish line chute. 29 S _,( RUN THE OC! marat'Ron LOST CHILD/FOUND CHILD PROCEDURES 1. Walk Parent (or Child) over to the Lost Parent Booth, located next to the Tall Information Tower, in the Kids Run Finish Line Festival (Park Plaza).il 2. Collect Information on the LOST KID Information Sheet. Info gathered includes: 1. Name of Parent, Cell # of parent 2. Name of Child, Bib Number (if they have it), What are they wearing (photo if possible) 3. Start time of their race (ask Time Management if they started the right race, and if they finished yet) If they finished: 4. What school do they go to? (Info Booth will have a list of where schools are located) Check the school gathering area. 5. Does the child have a cell phone with them, or were they running with a friend that had a cell phone. 6. Age, Gender, Height, Color of Hair, Color of Eyes: 3. Further Options: 1. Have the Announcer make announcements for "Sally Smith" or "Sally Smith's Parents" to come to the Info Tower. 2. If parent/child are not reunited quickly, alert the Information Tower, and they will reach OCFEC Dispatch, who will inform all OCFEC staff to assist in the search and/or reunification efforts of the child with her/his responsible adult(s). 30 tHE marathon CREDENTIALS �t41 Laoraihi''hon PPRENTIALS The below credentials wiI I be provided and issued by The OC Marathon.
