RESOLUTION NO. 89-127
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, VACATING A STORM DRAIN
EASEMENT LOCATED 815.50 FEET NORTH OF PAULAR.INO
AVENUE BETWEEN BRISTOL STREET AND THE ORANGE
COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT "SANTA ANA -DELHI
CHANNEL" RIGHT--OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, Sections 8333 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California provide a summary procedure for vacation of a public
service easement under specified conditions; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8306 of the Streets and Highways Code, a
"public service easement" includes storm drain rights-of-way and easements;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and deter-
mines that the storm drain easement located 815.50 feet north of Paularino
Avenue between Bristol Street and the Orange County Flood Control District
"Santa Ana -Delhi Channel" right-of-way has been superseded by relocation,
and there are no other public facilities located within the easement as
provided in Section 8333(c) of the Streets and Highways Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the storm drain easement described
in attached Exhibits "A" and "B" is hereby vacated under Chapter 4 of Part
3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code, and that from and after
the date this resolution is recorded, that storm drain easement no longer
constitutes a public service easement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to f ile this
resolution for recordation with the Orange County Recorder promptly upon
adoption and execution hereof.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
That portion of Parcels 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Parcel Map 84-378, in the City of
Costa Mesa, as shown on a map filed in Book 195, Pages 3 and 4, of Parcel
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County, included within a
strip of land 20.00 feet wide, the centerline of said strip being described
as follows:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Parcel 3 of said Parcel Map, thence
south 5115108" west 286.60 feet along the westerly line of said Parcel 3 to
the "True Point of Beginning", said point being the beginning of a non -
tangent curve concave southerly having a radius of 130.00 feet, a radial
line to said center bears north 22°40124" west; thence easterly along the
arc of said curve through a central angle of 22°21124" an arc distance of
50.72 feet to a point of tangency; thence north 89141100" east 510.73 feet
to that certain course shown as north 14015131" east for a portion of the
westerly boundary line of Parcel 4 of said Parcel Map.
The sidelines of said strip to be prolonged or shortened to begin easterly
on the easterly line of said Parcel 3 and to terminate westerly on the
westerly line of said Parcel 4.
