Brown Acti RESOLUTION NO. 90-80 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, REAFFIRMING THE APPLICA- TION OF THE RALPH M. BROWN ACT. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby finds and declares as follows: WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council that all actions by public commissions, boards, and City Council be taken openly and that their deliberations be conducted openly; and WHEREAS, recent budgetary legislation by the Legislature of the State of California has the effect of suspending the open meeting rules of the Ralph M. Brown Act; and WHEREAS, the reaffirmation of the intent of the City Council to man- date compliance with the open meeting rules of the Ralph M. Brown Act will assure and instill confidence in the public that these open meeting rules apply in the City of Costa Mesa; SECTION 2. ACCORDINGLY, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve that the open meeting rules of the Ralph M. Brown Act, as provided in Title 5, Division 2, Part 1, Chapter 9 of the California Government Code, continue to apply to all actions by public commissions, boards, and City Council of the City of Costa Mesa.
