A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO ORDER THE VACATION OF SPARKES STREET.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOFS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
declare its intention to vacate Sparkes Street, as more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of Sparkes Street, as shown on a map of Tract 590,
recorded in Book 31, Page 36 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California, lying northwesterly of that portion of Sparkes
Street vacated by Resolution No. 69-4 of the City Council of the City
of Costa Mesa, a certified copy of which was recorded April 9, 1969,
in Book 8923, Page 215 and re-recorded April 18, 1969, in Book 8932,
Page 243, both of Official Records of said Orange County.
RESERVING THEREFRC14 a public use easement for all existing under-
ground and overhead public utilities, together with right of ingress
and egress for the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading
said existing public utilities.
SECTION 2. Monday, the 4th day of March, 1991, at 6:30 p.m., in the
Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is
hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation.
L SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the pro-
visions of Section 8300 at seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby
directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously
posted along said strips of land for at least two (2) weeks before the date
of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred
(300) feet apart, but in no event shall fewer than three (3) notices be
posted.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published twice in the ORANGE
COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published
in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of February, 1991.
