RESOLUTION NO. 91-6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A STORM DRAIN EASEMENT
AT 1964 FEDERAL AVENUE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLONS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
declare its intention to vacate a storm easement located at 1964 Federal
Avenue, as more particularly described as follows:
A portion of Int 14 of Tract No. 1712 in the City of Costa Mesa,
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 50, Pages 32 to 36,
inclusive, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Cali-
fornia, described as:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 14 above described,
thence south along the east line of Federal Avenue 0.50 of a foot
to the intersection with a line parallel to the north line of Lot
14, thence east along said line a distance of 20.00 feet, thence
south 1.50 feet along a line parallel to the east line of Federal
Avenue; thence east along a line (parallel to and 2.00 feet south
measured at right angles from the north line of Lot 14) to the east
line of Lot 14; thence south along said east line a distance of
5.00 feet; thence west along a lire (parallel to and 7.00 feet south
measured at right angles from the north line of Lot 14) to its inter-
section with a line parallel to and 20.00 feet east measured at right
angles from the east line of Federal Avenue, thence south along said
parallel line a distance of 1.50 feet; thence west along a line
(parallel to and 8.50 feet south measured at right angles from the
north line of Int 14) a distance of 20.00 feet to the intersection
with the east line of Federal Avenue; thence north along said line a
distance of 8.00 feet to the point of beginning.
RESERVING THEREFROM a public use easement for all existing under-
ground and overhead public utilities, together with right of ingress
and egress for the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading
said existing public utilities.
SECTION 2. Monday, the 4th day of March, 1991, at 6:30 p.m., in the
Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is
hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the pro-
visions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby
directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously
posted along said strips of land for at least two (2) weeks before the date
of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred
(300) feet apart, but in no event shall fewer than three (3) notices be
posted.
SECTION 5. This Resolution
shall be published
twice in the ORANGE
COAST DAILY PILOT, a
newspaper of
general
circulation
printed and published
in the City of Costa
Mesa, Orange
County,
California.
