HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-64 - Vacation of 11.7 Feet of Property at 161 BroadwayRESOLUTION NO. 91-64 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF 11.7 FEET OF PROPERTY AT 161 BROADWAY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate 11.7 feet of property at 161 Broadway, as more particularly described as follows: A portion of Lot 6 in Block A of Tract 377 in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 16, Page 16 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said County, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the northeasterly line of Lot 6, said point being 14.7 feet southeasterly of the northerly corner of said Lot 6; thence south 39048'45" west 50.0 feet to a point on the southwesterly line of said Lot 6, said point being 14.7 feet southeasterly of the westerly corner of said Lot 6; thence north 50°11'45" west 11.7 feet along said southwesterly line; thence north 39048'45" east parallel to and 3.0 feet southeasterly from the northwesterly line of said Lot 6 a distance of 42.39 feet; thence north 84048'30" east 10.76 feet to a point on the northeasterly line of Lot 6, said point being 10.61 feet southeasterly of the northerly corner of said Lot 6; thence south 50°11'45" east 4.09 feet along said northeasterly line to the point of beginning. RESERVING THEREFROM a public use easement for all existing underground and overhead public utilities, together with right of ingress and egress for the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading said existing public utilities. SECTION 2. Tuesday, the 3rd day of September, 1991, at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the pro- visions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strips of lard for at least two (2) weeks before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall fewer than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published twice in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
