HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-23 - Improvement of Harbor Blvd and South Coast Drive,. 498 RESOLUTION NO. 92-23 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY LOCAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY AND THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ORANGE COUNTY COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAMS THE IMPROVEMENT OF HARBOR BOULEVARD AND SOUTH COAST DRIVE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETER- MINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLM: WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa desires to improve Harbor Boulevard and South Coast Drive; and WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa has been declared by the Orange County Local Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M "turnback" funds; and WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa will provide matching funds for each project as required by the Orange County Canbined Transportation Funding Program Procedures Manual; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Local Transportation Authority or the Hoard of Supervisors intend to allocate funds for improvement of streets within the incorporated cities and the county; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby request the Orange County Local Transportation Authority and the Board of Supervisors to allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City's application to said City frau Measure M or the Arterial Highway Financing Program. Said funds shall be matched by funds frau said City as required and shall be used to aid the City in the improvement of Harbor Boulevard and South Coast Drive.
