RESOLUTION NO. 92-24
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING, THE ORANGE
COUNTY LOCAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY AND THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ORANGE
COUNTY COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAMS
IMPROVEMENT OF THE 17TH STREET/SUPERIOR AVENUE
INTERSECTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETER-
MINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa desires to improve the intersection at
17th Street and Superior Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa has been declared by the Orange County
Local Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to
receive Measure M "turnback" funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County
of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa will provide matching funds for each
project as required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding
Program Procedures Manual; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Local Transportation Authority or the Board
of Supervisors intend to allocate funds for improvement of streets within
the incorporated cities and the county;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
request the Orange County Local Transportation Authority and the Board
of Supervisors to allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City's
application to said City from Measure M or the Arterial Highway Financing
Program. Said funds shall be matched by funds from said City as required
and shall be used to aid the City in improving the intersection of 17th
Street and Superior Avenue,
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of March, 1992.
