HomeMy WebLinkAbout911 - Changing Street Names - Terminal Place and Pitcairn Street to "Newton Way", and "Pitcairn Drive"50 RESOLUTION NO. 911 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA CHANGING THE NAMES OF TERMINAL PLACE AND PITCAIRN STREET TO "NEW'T'ON WAY","AND PITCAIRN DRIVE" RESPECTIVELY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended to the City Council that the name of TERMINAL PLACE in Tract No. 4338 be changed to "NEWTON WAY", and the name of PITCAIRN STREET in Tract No. 4311 be changed to "PITCAIRN DRIVE"; and WHEREAS, said existing TERMEiAL PLACE in Tract No. 4338 is similar to an existing TERMINAL WAY in another and different section of the City, and said PITCAIRN STREET is a continuation of an existing PITCAIRN DRIVE; and WHEREAS, this City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said street names be changed as recommended by the Planning Commission in order that potential confusion be eliminated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that the street name of TERMINAL PLACE in Tract No. 4338 be, and the same is hereby changed to'NEWTON WAY", and the street name of PITCAIRN STREET in Tract No. 43.1 be, and the same is hereby changed to "PITCAIRN DRIVE", all as recommended by the Planning Commission of the City of Costa Mesa.
