HomeMy WebLinkAbout62-24 - Costa Mesa Acting as Supervising Authority of the Recreation and Park DistrictRESOLUTION N0. 62-24 RESOLU'T'ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE SUPER- VISING AUTHORITY OF THE COSTA MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, ANNEXING TERRITORY TO SAID DISTRICT. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve and determine as follows: WHEREAS, a hearing was held on March 5, 1962, to consider a proposed annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District; and WHEREAS, notice of said hearing has been given by publication once a week for two successive weeks in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, and the Santa Ana Register, newspapers of general circulation circulated in the area proposed to be annexed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council finds that it is to the benefit of the Costa Mesa Recreation District and to the territory herein- after described that said territory be annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinbelow described pro- perty be and is hereby ordered annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park Dis- ---% trict: Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as said existing boundary is described in the Paularino No. 3 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, California, Ordinance No. 325, adopted October 17, 1960, said voint being the intersection of the Westerly line of Lot 5, Block D, Berry Tract, said Westerly line being the centerline of a 4 rod road, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 9, page 6 of Miscellaneous Re- cords of Los Angeles County, California, with a line 828.00 feet Southerly of and parallel to the North line of said Block D, Berry Tract; thence South 890 37' 57" East, along said parallel line and said existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, 528.00 Ft. to the Easterly line of said Lot 5, said Easterly line of Lot 5 being the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as described in the Paularino No. 1 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, California, Ordinance No. 283, adopted January 11, 1960 and the Westerly line of Tract No. 4041 as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 138, pages27, 28, and 29 of Miscellaneous !Naps, records of Orange County, California; thence South Oo 29' 07" West, along said Easterly line of Lot 5, said Westerly line of Tract No. 4041 and the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa and the Southerly prolongation thereof, 860.69 feet, to the Southerly line of Paularino Avenue, 66 feet in width, as shown on said map of Tract No. 4041; thence depa st- ing from the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, North 89 49' 35" West, along said Southerly line of Paularino Avenue, 528.02 feet, to the Soiith,erly prolongation of said Westerly line of Lot 5, thence North 00 29' 05" East, along the Southerly prolongation of the Westerly line of said Lot 5 and the Westerly line of said Lot 5, 862.17 feet to the point of beginning. a PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of March, 1962, by the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen: Wilson, Rea, Smith, Pinkley, Meyers NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None r o-0-1 A.
