A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, ACTING AS SUPERVISING AUTHORITY OF
THE COSTA MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, DETER-
MINING THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY SHOULD BE ANNEXED TO
THE COSTA MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT AND
FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR THE }TEARING.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve and
determine as follows:
Section 1. That the territory hereinafter described is contiguous
to the existing boundaries of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby
finds and determines that said territory hereinafter described should be
annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District.
Section 3. That Monday, March 19, 1962, is hereby fixed as the
time for hearing the matter of the said annexation and the Coundil Chambers,
located at 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as
the place for said hearing, the hour thereof to be at 7:30 o'clock p.m.
Section 4. That the territory proposed to be annexed is that
certain real property situated in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange,
more particularly described as follows:
PARCEL 1.
Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of
the Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly line of Lot
235, Newport Heights with the centerline of Santa Ana Avenue,
100.00 feet in width, as said intersection is shown on a map
of Newport Heights, recorded in Book 4, page 83 of Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence South 500
East, along the Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly
line of said Lot 235, 30.00 feet, to a point in the existing
boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, as said
boundary is described in the Exclusion No. 1 to the Costa Mesa
Park and Recreation District adopted by Resolution No. 61-1313
of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California, dated
December 20, 1961, the true point of beginning of the land herein
described; thence departing from the existing boundary of the
Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, South 500 East, along
the Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly line of said
Lot 235 and the Northeasterly line of said Lot 235, 398.00 feet;
thence South 40o West, 330.15 feet, to the Southwesterly line of
said Lot 235; thence North 500 West, along said Southwesterly
line of Lot 235, 398.00 feet, to a line 30.00 feet Southeasterly
of, measured at right angles, and parallel to the centerline of
said Santa Ana Avenue, said parallel line also being the existing
boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District as
described in said Exclusion No. l; thence North 400 East, along
said existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation
District, 330.15 feet, to the true point of beginning.
PARCEL 2:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of
the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, as said boundary
is described in Exclusion No. 3 to the Costa Mesa Park and
Recreation District, adopted by Resolution No. 61-1313 of the
Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California, dated
December 20, 1961, said angle point being the intersection of

the Easterly line of the Santa Ana River as shown on a Record
of Survey filed in Book 12, pages 25 to 31 inclusive, of
Records of Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of
Orange County, California, and the Westerly prolongation of
the Northerly line of Fairview Farms as shown on a map thereof,
recorded in Book 8, page 71 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California; thence North 890 28' 00" East,
along the Westerly prolongation of the Northerly line and
the Northerly line of Fairview Farms, also being the existing
boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District,
1591.59 feet, to the Northwest corner of Tract No. 653, as
shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 19, page 42 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California;
thence departing from the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa
Park and Recreation District, along the Westerly line of
Tract No. 653, South 200 02' 00" West, 419.50 feet; thence
South 360 59' 00" West, 800.00 feet; thence South 560 13' 00"
West, 800.00 feet; thence South 360 46' 30" West, 395.80
feet, to a line 200.00 feet Northerly of, measured at right
angles, and parallel to the Westerly prolongation of the
centerline of Victoria Street, 60 feet in width, as shown on
said map of Tract No. 653, thence departing from the Westerly
line of said Tract No. 653, South 89 28' 00" West, along
said parallel line, 490.44 feet, to the Easterly line of the
previously mentioned Santa Ana River; thence North 130 25' 00'T
East, along said Easterly line of said Santa Ana River, 1834.87
feet, to the point of beginning,
PARS
Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection
of the centerline of 21st Street, 60 feet in width, with the
centerline of Santa Ana Avenue, 100 feet in Width, as shown on
a map of Newport Heights, recorded in Book 4, page 83 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence
South 500 East, along said centerline of 21st Street, 30.00
feet, to the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, Califor-
nia, as said boundary is described in the Official Description
of the Original Boundary line of the City of Costa Mesa, California,
adopted by a resolution of the Board of Supervisors, Orange County,
California, dated June 25, 1953, filed and accepted by the
Secretary of State, State of California, June 29, 1953, said
boundary also being the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park
and Recreation District as described in the Exclusion No. 1 to
r said Park and Recreation District, adopted by Resolution No.
61-1313 of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California,
dated December 20, 1961; thence North 40c East, along said exist-
ing boundary, parallel with the centerline of Santa Ana Avenue,
330.15 feet to the Northwesterly prolongation of the South-
westerly line of Lot 265 of said Newport Heights, the true point
of beginning of the land herein described, thence continuing along
said existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation
District, North 400 East, 660.30 feet to the Northwesterly
prolongation of the Northeasterly line of Lot 275 of said Newport
Heights; thence, departing from the existing boundary of said
Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, South 500 East, along
the Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly line of
said Lot 275, the Northeasterly lime of said Lot 275 and the
Northeasterly line of Lot 276 of said Newport Heights, 833.00
feet; thence South 40° West, 165.08 feet; thence South 500 East,
100.00 feet; thence South 400 West, 165.07 feet, to the North-
easterly line of Lot 266 of said Newport Heights; thence South
500 East, along said Northeasterly line of Lot 266 and the South-
easterly prolongation thereof, 387.00 feet, to the Southeasterly
line of Tustin Avenue, 60 feet in width, as shown on said map of
Newport Heightq; thence South 400 West, along said Southeasterly
line of Tustin Avenue, 330.15 feet to the Southeasterly prolongation
of the Southwesterly line of Lot 266 of said Newport Heights;
thence North 500 West, along said Southeasterly prolongation of the
Southwesterly line of Lot 266 and the Southwesterly line of Lot 266,
387.00 feet; thence South W West, 300.15 feet, to the
Northeasterly line of 21st Street, 60 feet in width, as
shown on said map of Newport Heights; thence North 50o West,
along said Northeasterly line of 21st Street, 567.00 feet;
thence North 400 East, 300.15 feet to the Southwesterly line
of Lot 265 of said Newport Heights; thence North 50o West,
along said Southwesterly line of Lot 265, 366.00 feet, to
the true point of beginning.
