HomeMy WebLinkAbout62-34-A - Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District - Annexing Territory to said DistrictRESOLUTION N0. 62-34-A A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE SUPERVISING AUTHORITY OF THE COSTA MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, ANNEX- ING TERRITORY TO SAID DISTRICT. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve and determine as follows: WHEREAS, a hearing was held on March 19, 1962, to consider a proposed annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District; and WHEREAS, notice of said hearing has been given by publication once a week for two successive weeks in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation circulated in the area proposed to be annexed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council finds that it is to the benefit of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District and to the territory hereinafter described that said territory be annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinbelow described pro- perty be and is hereby ordered annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park a District: Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the --. Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly line of Lot 235, Newport Heights with the centerline of Santa Ana Avenue, 100.00 feet in width, as said intersection is shown on a map of Newport Heights, recorded in Book 4, page 83 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence South 500 East, along the Northwesterly prolonga- tion of the Northeasterly line of said Lot 235, 30.00 feet, to a point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, as said boundary is described in the Exclusion No. 1 to the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District adopted by Resolution No. 61-1313 of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California, dated December 20, 1961, the true point of beginning of the land herein described; thence departing from the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, South 500 East, along the Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly line of said Lot 235 and the Northeasterly line of said Lot 235, 398.00 feet; thence South 440 West, 330.15 feet, to the Southwesterly line of said Lot 235; thence North 500 West, along said Southwesterly line of Lot 235, 398.00 feet, to a line 30.00 feet Southeasterly of, measured at right angles, and parallel to the centerline of said Santa Ana Avenue, said parallel line also being the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District as described in said Exclusion No. 1; thence North 400 East, along said existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, 330.15 feet, to the true point of beginning.
