HomeMy WebLinkAbout62-35 - Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District, Annexing Territory to said DistrictRESOLUTION N0. 62-35 A RESOIIITION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE SUPERVISING AUTHORITY OF THE COSTA MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, ANNEXING TERRITORY TO SAID DISTRICT. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve and determine as follows: WHEREAS, a hearing was held on March 19, 1962, to consider a pro- V posed annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District; and WHEREAS, notice of said hearing has been given by publication once a week for two successive weeks in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation circulated in the area proposed to be annexed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council finds that it is to the benefit of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District and to the territory hereinafter described that said territory be annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinbelow described property be and is hereby ordered annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District: --� Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, as said boundary is described in Exclusion No. 3 to the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, adopted by Resolution No. 61-1313 of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California, dated December 20, 1961, said angle point being the intersection of the Easterly line of the Santa Ana River as shown on a Record of Survey filed in Book 12, pages 25 to 31 inclusive, of Records of Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, and the Westerly prolongation of the Northerly line of Fairview Farms as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 8, page 71 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence North 890 28' 00" East, along the Westerly prolongation of the Northerly line and the Northerly line of Fairview Farms, also being the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, 1591.59 feet, to the Northwest corner of Tract No. 653, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 19, page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of orange County, California; thence departing from the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, along the Westerly line of Tract No. 653, South 200 02' 00" West, 419.50 feet; thence South 360 59' 00" West, 800.00 feet; thence South --� 560 13' 00" West, 800.00 feet; thence South 360 46' 30" West, 395.80 feet, to a line 200.00 feet Northerly of, measured at right angles and parallel to the Westerly prolongation of the centerline of Victoria Street, 60 feet in width, as shown on said map of Tract No. 653, thence departing from the Westerly line of said Tract No. 653, South 89 28' 00" West, along said parallel line, 490.44 feet, to the Easterly line cE the previously mentioned Santa Ana River; thence North 130 25' 00" East, along said Easterly line of said Santa Ana River, 183+.87 feet, to the point of beginning.
