RESOLUTION N0. 62-104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
ORDERING THE VACATION OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY RUNNING BETWEEN
ELM AVENUE AND PONDEROSA STREET AND LYING 185 FEET WESTERLY
OF THE CENTERLINE OF HARBOR BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 16th
day of July, 1962, pass and adopt Ordinance No. 62-30, entitled; AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER
THE VACATION OF LEMON STREET, BETWEEN ADAMS AVENUE AND ELM AVENUE, AND OF THE
ALLEY BETWEEN ELM AVENUE AND PONDEROSA STREET LYING 185 FEET WESTERLY OF THE
CENTERLINE OF HARBOR BOULEVARD; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Ordinance of Intention the time and place
for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacations
was set for Monday, the 6th day of August, 1962, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock
p.m., in the Council Chamber of the Costa Mesa City Hall, 695 West 19th Street,
Costa Mesa, California; and
WHEREAS, notices of the said proposed vacations were duly and regularly
posted as required by law, all pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3,
Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, said date of hearing coming on regularly to be heard, all
persons appearing on the proposed vacations were heard, and said hearing was
closed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and determines,
from all the evidence submitted, that the hereinafter described right of way for
alley purposes is unnecessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES ORDER AND
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the hereinafter described right of way is unnecessary for present
or prospective street and alley purposes.
2. It is hereby ordered that the following described right of way, and the
same is hereby, vacated:
That certain alley, 15 feet in width, running between Elm Avenue and
Ponderosa Street, and lying 185 feet westerly of the centerline of
Harbor Boulevard in the City of Costa Mesa, as shown upon a map of
Fairview recorded in Book 25, page 77 of Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August, 1962.
