RESOLUTION N0. 62-54
A RESOUJTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AN EASEMENT.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as
SECTION 1. That it is the intention of this City Council to
vacate that certain easement located in the private right of way known
as "Commercial Way" between Newport Boulevard and Superior Avenue, described
as follows:
A strip of land 30.00 feet in width lying within
Lot 31 of Newport Heights as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 4, page 83, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Oram County, California, the southwesterly
line of said 30.00 foot strip of land being described
as follows:
Commencing at a point in the southeasterly line of the
northwesterly 420.00 feet of said Lot 31, distant thereon
northeasterly 220.15 feet from the southwesterly line of
said Lot; thence southeasterly parallel with said south-
westerly line 52.5 feet to the point of beginning; thence
continuing southeasterly along said parallel line to a
point on the southeasterly line of said lot.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion conveyed to the State of
California by Deed recorded August 27, 1952, in Book 2375,
page 184, Official Records of said County, as shown on a
map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City
Of Costa Mesa.
Reference is hereby made to a map on file in the Office of the
City Clerk of the City of Costa for a more full and particular description.
That the time and place for hearing all persons interested in the
proposed vacation shall be Monday, May 7, 1962, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock
p.m., in the Council Chambers at the Costa Mesa City Ball, located at 695
West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California.
SECTION 2. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby
directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be posed conspicu-
ously along said strip of land at least ten (10) days before the date of said
hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet
apart, but in no event shall less than three be posted.
SECTION 3. That the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa elects
to proceed under the provisions of Article 5, Chapter 2, Division 1, Title 5,
of the Government Code of the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of April, 1962.
