HomeMy WebLinkAbout62-63 - Street Lighting District - Establishing Tax ProcedureK RESOLUTION No. 62-63 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE PROCEDURE FOR LEVYING AND COL- LECTING ASSESSMENTS ON THE AD VALOREM BASIS FOR THE STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT FOR THE PERIOD OF MONTHS BEGINNING NOVEMBER 1, 1963, AND ENDING OCTOBER 31, 1964. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That for the period beginning November 1, 1963, and ending October 311 1964, the procedure for levying and collecting assessments for the maintenance of the lighting fixtures and appliances in the City, pursuant to the provisions of Division 14, Part 1, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California (Street Lighting Act of 1919), shall be on the ad valorem basis pursuant to Chapter 8.5 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 2. The City Engineer shall cause to be prepared, on or before December 11 1962, the legal descriptionsandmaps establishing the tax code areas necessary for the various types of lighting fixtures, appliances and energy for the period beginning November 1, 19631 and ending October 311 1964, and shall present the same to the City Council for its approval in order that said tax code areas may be presented to the County Assessor of the County of Orange on or before December 31, 1962, for their creation commencing July 1, 1963.
