HomeMy WebLinkAbout62-129 - Vacation of unnamed Street Easterly of Bristol, and Alley28s RESOLUTION N0. 62-129 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA NESA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN UNNAMED STREET LYING EASTERLY OF BRISTOL STREET IN THE BERRY TRACT, AND THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN ALLEY IN LOT 91, NEWPORT HEIGHTS TRACT AND IN LOTS 1 THROUGH 9, INCLUSIVE, OF TRACT NO. 751. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 1st day of October, 1962, pass and adopt Ordinance No. 62-39, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN UNNAMED STREET LYING EASTERLY OF BRISTOL STREET IN THE BERRY TRACT, AND OF A CERTAIN ALLEY IN IAT 91, NEWPORT HEIGHTS TRACT AND IN LOTS 1 THROUGH 9, INCLUSIVE, OF TRACT N0. 751;" and WHEREAS, pursuant to said Ordinance of Intention the time and place for hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacations was set for Monday, the 5th day of November, 1962, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Costa Mesa City Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, Californias and WHEREAS, notices of said proposed vacations were duly and regularly posted as required by law, all pursuant to Sections 8300 - 8308, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, said date of hearing coming on regularly to be heard, all persons appearing on the proposed vacations were heard; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and determines, from all the evidence submitted, that the hereinafter described certain unnamed street and alley are unnecessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the hereinafter described unnamed street and the hereinafter des - scribed alley are unnecessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes. 2. It is hereby ordered that the following described unnamed street be, and the same is hereby, vacated: That certain unnamed street 33 feet in width, lying within Lot 2, Block F of the Berry Tract, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 30, page 74 of the Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, and easterly of a line parallel to and 60 feet southeasterly of the centerline of Bristol L Street as described in deeds to the County of Orange recorded in Book 1928, page 274, and Book 1945, page 372, of Official Records of Orange County, California. 3. It is hereby ordered that the following described alley be, and the same is hereby, vacated: Z88 The northeast 7.5 feet of the northwest 90 feet of the southeast 240 feet of Lot 91, Newport Heights Tract, as shorn on a map recorded in Book 4, page 83, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, and the southwesterly 7.5 feet of Lots 1 through 9, inclusive, of Tract No. 751, as shown on a map of said Tract recorded in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 24, page 41, Records of Orange County, California.
