RESOLUTION No. 63-7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA IN APPRECIATION OF THE SERVICE OF CLAIRE M. NELSON
TO HIS CITY AND HIS COUNTY.
WHEREAS, CLAIRE M. NELSON is completing his term of service as Super-
visor of the County of Orange, representing the Fifth Supervisorial District, of ■
which the City of Costa Mesa is a part; and J
WHEREAS, Hisservice on the Board of Supervisors has been marked by a
sincere and whole -hearted devotion to the best interests of both City and County;
and
WHEREAS, He has long and faithfully served his fellow citizens, not
only as a Supervisor but also as Mayor of the City of Costa Mesa and in many other
civic capacities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa, that this City Council, on behalf of the people of Costa Mesa, hereby
expresses its deep appreciation of the service of CLAIRE M. NELSON to the City
of Costa Mesa and the County of Orange, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of Costa Mesa
is hereby directed to transmit an executed copy of this Resolution to the Board
of Supervisors of Orange County, and to enter this Resolution in the permanent
records of the City of Costa Mesa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, this 7th day of January, 1963.
