HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-22 - Fairview Road Improvement District - Asking Water PlansM RESOLUTION NO. 63-22 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE COSTA MESA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT TO FURNISH THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADEQUATE AND APPROPRIATE CONDUITS, PIPES, HYDRANTS, WATER SERVICE HOUSE CON- NECTIONS AND OTHER APPURTENANCES NECESSARY FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLY IN THE IMPROVEMENT KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS THE IMPROVEMENT OF FAIRVIEW ROAD AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS, ALLEYS AND EASEMENTS IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA (ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 10). WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 21st day of January, 1963, pass Resolution No. 63-11 determining the nature, location and extent of the improvement known and designated as "The Improvement of Fairview Road and Certain Other Street, Alleys and Easements in Said City (Assessment District No. 10)," and instructing Laurence J. Thompson, Assessment Engineer, to prepare a written report in accordance with Section 2825 of the Streets and Highways Code,; and WHEREAS, said Assessment Engineer did, on the 21st day of January, 1963, file said report with the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, and said City Council did, on said date, adopt its resolution approving said report; and WHEREAS, said report shows that the work proposed to be done includes the installation of water mains and appurtenances, water service house connections, hydrants and other appurtenances necessary for the distribution of domestic water supply in the territory in which the work is proposed; and WHEREAS, the supplying and distribution of the domestic water supply in the territory in which said work is proposed to be done is in part in charge of and under the management and control of the Costa Mesa County Water District, a public agency; and WHEREAS, Sections 5170 through 5174 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, being a part of the "Improvement Act of 1911," the act under which the proposed work and improvement is to be done, require the public agency having charge of the supply and distribution of domestic water supply in the district about to be improved, to furnish the plans and specifications therefor; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as follows: LSECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby request the Costa Mesa County Water District, the public agency having charge of the supply and distribution of the domestic water supply in a portion of the district proposed to be improved, to wit: the district known and designated as "The Improvement of Fairview Road and Certain Other Streets, Alleys and Easements in Said City," to furnish to the City Coucil of the City of Costa Mesa, as required by Section 5171 M of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, plans and speci- fications for adequate and appropriate conduits, pipes, hydrants and other appurtenances necessary for the supplying and distribution of the domestic water supply in said district.
