HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-53 - Ordering Vacation - Clary & Gage Streets426 RESOLUTION N0. 63-53 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ORDERING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF LOTS 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1101, 1102, 1103, 1104, NEWPORT MESA TRACT, IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 15th day of April, 1963, pass and adopt Resolution No. 63-44, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION FOR STREET PURPOSES OF A PORTION OF I)DTS, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1101, 1102, 1103, Am 1104, NEWPORT MEM TRACT, IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA; AND WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution of Intention the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the porposed vacation was set for Monday, the 20th day of May, 1963, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California; and WHEREAS, notices of said proposed vacation were duly and regularly posted as required by law, all pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, said date of hearing coming on regularly to be heard, all persons appearing on the proposed vacation were heard, and said hearing was closed on the 20th day of May, 1963; and J WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and deter- mines, from all the evidence submitted, that the hereinafter described rights of way are unnecessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the hereinafter described rights of way are unnecessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes. 2. It is hereby ordered that the following descirbed rights of way in Lots 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1101, 1102, 1103 and 1104 of the Newport Mesa Tract be, and the same are hereby vacated: PARCEL A: A portion of lots 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1101, ll02, 1103, and 1104 of Newport Mesa Tract in the City of Costa Mesa, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 5, Page 1, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, described as: 0 A strip of land 60.00 feet in width being 30.00 feet on both sides of and adjoining the following described center line: Beginning at the intersection of the common property line of Lots 1003 and 1004 with the west line of Monrovia Avenue (60.00 feet wide); thence west along said common property line to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave northeasterly at a point 45.00 feet east of the west line of Lots 1003 and 1004; thence northwesterly along said curve of a 45.00 foot radius to its point of tangency with the west line of Lot 1003; thence north along said west line of Lot 1003 and the beginning of a tangent curve; thence northwesterly through said tangent curve, having a radius of 915.00 feet through an angle of 100 23' 20" a distance of 165.91 feet to the beginning of a tangent reverse curve, having a radius of 915.00 feet through an angle of 100 23' 20" a distance of 165.91 feet to its intersection with the south line of Lot 1-101 at a point 30.00 feet west of the east line thereof; thence north along a line parallel to and 30.00 feet west of the east line of Lot 1101 to its intersection with the south line of West 19th Street (60.00 feet wide). PARCEL B: That portion of Lot 1003 of said Newport Mesa Tract lying south- easterly of a curved line, having a 15.00 foot radius, concave north- westerly and tangent to the west line of Monrovia Avenue (60.00 feet wide) and the north line of Parcel A. PARCEL C: That portion of Lot 1004 of said Newport Mesa Tract lying north- easterly of a curved line, having a 15.00 foot radius, concave south- westerly, and tangent to the south line of Parcel A and the west line of Minrovia Avenue, (60.00 feet wide).
