RESOLUTION No. 63-58
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE SUPERVISING AUTHORITY OF THE COSTA
MESA Rxr.RFnTION AND PARK DISTRICT, ANNEXING TERRITORY TO SAID
DISTRICT.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve
and determine as follows:
WHEREAS, a hearing was held on the 20th day of May, 1963, to consider a
proposed annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing has been given by publication once a week
for two successive weeks in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general
circulation circulated in the area proposed to be annexed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this City Council finds that it is
to the benefit of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District and to the territory
hereinafter described that said territory be annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation
and Park District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED THAT THE HEREINBELOW DESCRIBED PROPERTY
BE AND IS HERESY ORDERED ANNEXED TO THE COSTA MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT:
Beginning at a point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa
as said existing boundary is described in the Underwood Annexation to
the City of Costa Mesa, California, Ordinance No. 205, adopted June 16,
1958, said point being the intersection of the northwesterly line of
Tustin Avenue, 60 feet in width, as shown on a map of Newport Heights,
recorded in Book 4, page 83 of Misceelaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California, with a line 110.00 feet southwesterly of and parallel
with the northeasterly line of Lot 227 of said Newport Heights; thence
departing from the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, North
400 East, along said northwesterly line of Tustin Avenue, 110.00 feet,
to the northwesterly prolongation of the northeasterly line of said
Lot 227; thence South 500 East, along said northwesterly prolongation
of the northeasterly line of Lot 227 and the northeasterly line of
Lot 227, 228.00 feet, to the northwesterly line of the southeasterly
102.00 feet of the northwesterly 270 feet of the southwesterly one-half
of Lot 237 of said Newport Heights; thence North 400 East, along said
northwesterly line, 165.07 feet, to the northeasterly line of the south-
westerly one-half of said Lot 237; thence South 500 Fast, along last
mentioned northeasterly line, 173.00 feet, to the southeasterly line of
the northwesterly 341.00 feet of Lot 237 of said Newport Heights; thence
North 400 East, along last mentioned southeasterly line, 165.08 feet, to
the northeasterly line of said Lot 237; thence South 500 East, along
said northeasterly line of Lot 237, 289.00 feet, to the southeasterly
line of said Lot 237; thence South 400 West along said southeasterly
line of Lot 237, and the northwesterly line of Lot 238 of said Newport
Heights, 165.08 feet, to the most westerly corner of Tract No. 3176,
as shown on a Record of Survey, recorded in Book 55, page 6 of Records
of Surveys, Records of Orange County, California; thence South 500 East
along the southwesterly line of said Tract No, 3176, 173.53 feet; thence
South 400 West, parallel with the northwesterly line of said Lot 238,
76.73 feet, to a point in the southeasterly line of that certain Parcel
No. 1 described in deed to Costa Pacifica, Inc., recorded July 2, 1961
in Book 5773, page 19 of Official Records, Orange County, California;
thence North 500 West parallel with the southwesterly line of said
Lot 238, 23.50 feet, to the most westerly corner of said Parcel No. 1
described in said deed to Costa Pacifica, Inco, thence South 400 West,
along the southeasterly line of Parcel No. 2 as described in said deed
to Costa Pacifica, Inc., 88.50 feet, to the northeasterly line of
Tract No. 2992 as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 96, pages
45 and 46, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California
and the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as said existing
boundary is described in the Bissell Annexation to the City of Costa
Mesa, California, Ordinance No. 117, adopted January 16, 1956; thence
North 500 West, along said northeasterly line of Tract No. 2992 and
said existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, 150.03 feet, to the
easterly corner of said Lot 227 of Newport Heights; thence South 400
West, along the southeasterly line of said Lot 227, 110.00 feet, to
the southwesterly line of northeasterly rectangular 110 feet of said
Lot 227 and the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, as des-
cribed in said Underwood Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa; thence
North 500 West, along last mentioned southwesterly line and last men-
tioned existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, 690.00 feet, to
the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinabove described annex-
ation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District shall be and become effective
concurrently with the ALISO NO. 1 ANNEXATION to the City of Costa Mesa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of May, 1963, by the following roll
call vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN Tomchak, Wilson, Pinkley, Meyers, Smith
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None

adopted by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 20th day of May, 1963.
