HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-37 - Intentiion to Vacate Easements in Block "Z", Fairview418 RESOLUTION No. 65-37 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS IN BLOCK "Z" OF FAIRVIEW IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as follows: L SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate those certain easements described as follows: An easement or easements and right to maintain, operate,replace, remove and renew all now existing sanitary sewers and storm drain and appurtenant structures in, upon and over the hereinafter des- cribed portion of an unused street, and pursuant to any existing franchise or renewal thereof to maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge all now existing lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fix- tures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the transportation or distribution of electric energy, petroleum and its products, ammonia, water, and for ** incidental purposes, in: All that portion of that certain unnamed street, fifteen (15.00) feet in width, lying within Block "Z" as shown on a map of Fairview recorded in Book 25, pages 77 and 781 Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, bounded on the North by the Westerly prolongation of the North line of Lot 5 of said Block "Z" and bounded on the South by the Westerly prolongation of the South line of Lot 14 of said Block "Z". Said street was vacated by resolution of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County on July 16, 1958, recorded in Book 4334, page 512, records of said Orange County. SECTION 2. Monday, the 21st day of June, 1965, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber at the Costa Mesa City Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3• These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Chapter II, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strip of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5• This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California.
