HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-05 - Ordering Vacation - Portions of Lot 15, Tract 9..9eo,E 9390 6j,c -V 3"7 RESOLUTION NO. 65-5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF LOT 15, TRACT NO. 9 AT VICTORIA STREET AND NEWPORT AVENUE IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 21st day of December, 1964, pass and adopt Resolution No. 64-126, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DECLARING ITS IN- TENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF LOT 15, TRACT NO. 9, AT VIC- TORIA STREET AND NEWPORT AVENUE IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution of Intention the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation was set for Monday, the 18th day of January, 1965, at the hour of 7;30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California; and WHEREAS, notices of said proposed vacation were duly and regularly posted as required by law, all pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 2, Part 3, Di- vision 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, said date of hearing coming on regularly to be heard, all per- sons appearing on the proposed vacation were heard, and said hearing was closed on the 18th day of January, 1965; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and determines, from all evidence submitted, that the hereinafter described right of way is an - necessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the hereinafter described right of way is unnecessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes. 2. It is hereby ordered that the following described right of way be, and the same is hereby vacated; That portion of Lot 15 of Tract No. 9, in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 9, page 9, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the southerly line of Victoria Street, 50 feet wide, as shown on said map of said tract with a line that is parallel with and distant northwesterly 165.00 feet, measured at right angles to the southeasterly line of said Lot 15; thence along said southerly line of Victoria Street North 890 39' 10" West, 60.00 feet to S72 the true point of beginning, said point also being the southeasterly terminus of that course, South 890 39' 10" East, a distance of 140.00 feet as described in Director's deed, recorded July 14, 1964 in Book 7133, page 262, Official Records of Orange County, California; thence South 24030' 30" East, 39.42 feet; thence North 400 38' 10" East, 18.75 feet along a line that is parallel with and distant therefrom northwesterly 175.00 feet, measured at right angles, the southeasterly line of said Lot 15; thence North 190 11' 58" West, 22.78 feet to the southerly line of said Victoria Street; thence along said southerly line North 890 39' 10" West, 21.07 feet to the true point of beginning.
