HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-10 - Kaiser No. 3 Annexation to Park DistrictRESOLUTION NO. 65-10 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE SUPERVISING AUTHORITY OF THE COSTA MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, ANNEXING TERRITORY TO SAID DISTRICT. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby re- solve and determine as follows: WHEREAS, a hearing was held on the 2nd day of November, 1964, to consider a proposed annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District; and WHEREAS, notice of said hearing has been given by publication once a week for two successive weeks in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation circulated in the area proposed to be annexed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this City Council finds that it is to the benefit of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District and to the terri- tory hereinafter described that said territory be annexed to the Costa Mesa Recre- ation and Park District. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinbelow, described property be, and it is hereby, ordered annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park Distric: Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as said boundary is described in Woodland No. 2 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, California, adopted May 17, 1964, by Ordinance No. 64-21, said point being the most southerly corner of Lot 256 of Newport Heights and the northwesterly line of Tustin Avenue, 60 feet in width, as shown on a map of said Newport Heights, recorded in Book 4, page 83 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence along the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa and the southwesterly line of said Lot 256, North 500 West, 327.00 feet to an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as de- scribed in the Kaiser No. 1 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, Califor- nia, adopted November 16, 1961 by Ordinance No. 398; thence North 400 East, 300.15 feet along the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa to an angle point in said Kaiser No. 1 Annexation; thence South 500 East, 327.00 feet along the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa and the northeasterly line of said Lot 256 to the northwesterly line of Tustin Avenue; thence South 400 West, 300.15 feet along the north- westerly line of Tustin Avenue to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinabove described annex- ation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District shall be and become effective concurrently with the KAISER NO. 3 ANNEXATION to the City of Costa Mesa.
