RESOLUTION NO. 63-104
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
CHANGING THE NAME OF "STATE STREET" BETWEEN VICTORIA STREET
AND AMERICAN AVENUE TO "STATE AVENUE."
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended
to this City Council that the name of "STATE STREET," lying between Victoria

Street and American Avenue in Tract No. 1872, be changed to "STATE AVENUE;" and

WHEREAS, said "STATE STREET" is a continuation of State Avenue and lies
between two portions of State Avenue; and
WHEREAS, this City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City
that the name of said street be changed to eliminate confusion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa that the name of "STATE STREET' between Victoria Street and American Avenue
in Tract No. 1872 be, and the same is hereby changed to "STATE AVENUE."
PASSED AND ADOPTED, this 7th day of October, 1963.

the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa at a regular meeting of said City
Council held on the 7th day of October, 1963•
