RESOLUTION N0. 63-107
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE SUPERVISING AUTHORITY OF THE COSTA
MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, ANNEXING TERRITORY TO SAID
DISTRICT.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve
and determine as follows
WHEREAS, a hearing was held on the 4th day of November, 1963, to consider J
a proposed annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing has been given by publication once a week
for two successive weeks in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general
circulation circulated in the area proposed to be annexed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this City Council finds that it is to
the benefit of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District and to the territory
hereinafter described that said territory be annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation
and Park District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinbelow property be and is
hereby ordered annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District:
Beginning at a point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as
said existing boundary is described in the Aliso No. 1 Annexation to the
City of Costa Mesa, California, Ordinance No. 63-22, adopted June 3'1163,
said point being the intersection of the northwesterly line of Tustin
Avenue, 60 feet in width, as shown on a map of Newport Heights, recorded
in Book 4, page 83 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Cali-
fornia, with the northwesterly prolongation of the northeasterly line of
Lot 227 of Newport Heights; thence departing from the existing boundary
of the City of Costa Mesa, North 409 East, along said northwesterly line
of Tustin Avenue, 165.07 feet, to the northwesterly prolongation of the
northeasterly line of the southwesterly one-half of Lot 237 of Newport
Heights; thence South 500 East, along last mentioned northeasterly line,
228.00 feet, to the northwesterly line of the southeasterly 102.00 feet
of the northwesterly 270 feet of the southwesterly one-half of Lot 237
of said Newport Heights and the existing boundary of the City of Costa
Mesa, as described in said Aliso No. 1 Annexation; thence South 409 West,
along last mentioned northwesterly line and the existing boundary of the
City of Costa Mesa, 165.07 feet, to the northeasterly line of Lot 227
of Newport Heights and the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa;
thence North 500 West, along last mentioned northeasterly line and the
existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, 228.00 feet, to the point
of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the bereinabove described annexa-
tion to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District shall be and become effective
concurrently with the EMERSON NO. 1 ANNEXATION to the City of Costa Mesa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day of November, 1963, by the following
roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Meyers, Smith, Jordan, Wilson, Pinkley
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
