RESOLUTION No. 63-118
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT THE
NORTH END OF ALISO AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 18th day
of November, 1963, pass and adopt Resolution No. 63-112, entitled: A RESOLUTION
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTEN-
TION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT THE NORTH END OF ALISO
AVENUE; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution of Intention the time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation was set
for Monday, the 16th day of December, 1963, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock, p.m.,
in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, Cali-
fornia; and
WHEREAS, notices of said proposed vacation were duly and regularly posted
as required by law, all pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter
2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, said date of hearing coming on regularly to be heard, all persons
appearing on the proposed vacation were heard, and said hearing was closed on
the 16th day of December, 1963; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and determines,
from all the evidence submitted, that the hereinafter described right of way is
unnecessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES ORDER AND
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the hereinafter described right of way is unnecessary for present
or prospective street or alley purposes.
2. It is hereby ordered that the following described right of way be, and
the same is hereby vacated:
All that certain real property situated in the City of Costa Mesa,
County of Orange, State of California, being a portion of Lot 237
as shown on a map of Newport Heights, recorded in Book 4, page 83,
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, said real property
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of said Lot 237; thence
North 400 0o' 00" East, along the southeasterly line of said Lot 237,
154.99 feet to the true point of beginning, said true point of beginning
being a point on a curve, concave southerly, having a radius of 40.00 feet,
a radial line from said curve at said point bears South 400 DO' 00" West;
thence northwesterly, westerly and southwesterly along said curve

through a central angle of 950 36' 09", an are length of 66.74 feet
to a point of cusp, said point being a point on a curve, concave
southerly, having a radius of 40.00 feet, a radial line from said curve
at said point bears South 440 23' 51" East; thence northeasterly,
easterly and southeasterly along said curve, through a central angle
of 840 23' 51", an are length of 58.92 feet to a point which bears
South 400 00' 00" West, 7.81 feet from the true point of beginning;
thence North 400 00' 00" East, 7.81 feet to the true point of
beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of December, 1963•
